Payment methods
How to update your credit card, add new payment methods, and handle failed payments.
You manage your payment methods through the Stripe Customer Portal. Yeethook accepts all major credit and debit cards.
Updating your card
To change your payment method:
- Go to your team's Billing page at Settings → Billing.
- Click Manage Subscription to open the Stripe Customer Portal.
- In the portal, find the Payment method section.
- Add a new card or update the existing one.
Your new card will be used for all future charges. You can also remove old payment methods from the portal.
For step-by-step instructions with screenshots, see Stripe's guide to updating payment information.
Adding multiple payment methods
You can add more than one card in the Stripe Customer Portal. One card is set as the default and used for automatic payments. You can change which card is the default at any time.
Failed payments
If a payment fails (for example, because your card expired or was declined), here's what happens:
- Stripe retries the charge automatically over the next few days.
- You receive an email from Stripe notifying you of the failed payment, with a link to update your payment method.
- If retries continue to fail, your subscription may be paused or canceled after repeated failures.
To avoid disruption, update your card as soon as you receive a failed payment notification. You can do this from the link in the email or from the Billing page as described above.
Card security
Yeethook never sees or stores your card number. All payment information is handled directly by Stripe, which is PCI Level 1 certified — the highest level of payment security certification.
